YES, This class is an on-camera audition class and an extremely thorough exploration of every show in town. But most importantly it’s the place where actors are learning to tailor their artistic abilities to the needs of the client.
When you meet your clients needs, you get hired.
This skill is massively underdeveloped as a whole, and actors who master it make more of their precious audition prep time. They collaborate further in every audition, and they will book more.
Using an up-to-the moment awareness of the needs of Vancouver’s TV Industry as a guide, we’ll work to hone the skills that are and will be the most in demand.
The class starts with an in-depth review of one show. Detailed notes are provided along with video review, comparing and contrasting with other productions in our market.
Materials are provided ahead of time to prepare, and after the review you work on camera, and find your ability to play (rather than stay) ‘ between the lines.
Links to viewable and downloadable versions of your work are provided for your review and sharing.
The work in this class will empower you to:
Accurately determine how a show will look and feel from the often limited information available on a breakdown.
Identify exactly how you fit onto each network and show.
Adjust your style on the fly, network to network, show to show.
Predict and prepare for the styles that your industry will demand in the near future.
The TV Industry moves FAST. It rewards those who are able to deliver on its needs. The better we understand the needs of our industry, the better prepared we are to deliver. The more we deliver, the more we book. Let’s work the style and earn the work!
What People Are Saying
“I find Jeb’s Series Study class to be helpful and a one-of-a-kind in the city. I’m constantly telling actors to pay attention to the genre, network or studio they’re reading for and to adjust their performance accordingly. The way that Jeb breaks down each network, demographic and objective makes sense to me, and is a vital tool for an performer to use when prepping for auditions.”
Tiffany Mak | Casting Director
“I’m a big fan of what Jeb is doing with this series of classes and have been recommending it left and right to all my clients. It’s one of the most common sense techniques, to target your work to the audience for which its intended. My clients are having great success applying what they’ve learned, I can’t speak highly enough of Jeb and his teaching.”
